Ordinance 2025-03: Tree Protection Ordinance

AN ORDINANCE to preserve and protect trees on public and private property during development activity.

SECTION 1: Any tree over 8 inches in diameter may not be removed without prior approval from the Planning Department.

SECTION 2: Replacement trees shall be required at a 1:1 ratio for all removed protected trees.

SECTION 3: Tree protection zones must be established during construction, with fencing placed no closer than the tree's drip line.

EFFECTIVE DATE: August 15, 2025.
