Ordinance 2025-02: Short-Term Rental Licensing

AN ORDINANCE establishing licensing and operational regulations for short-term residential rentals in the Town of Happyville.

SECTION 1: All short-term rental operators must obtain an annual license from the Clerk’s Office and renew it by January 1 each year.

SECTION 2: Rentals are limited to a maximum of 90 nights per calendar year.

SECTION 3: Property owners must provide emergency contact information and maintain liability insurance of at least $500,000.

SECTION 4: Violations may result in license suspension or fines up to $500.

EFFECTIVE DATE: September 1, 2025.
